Diane Lynne Phillips
Diane was born in Endicott, NY on October 10, 1958. She grew up in New York State and Rochester, Minnesota. She graduated from Union-Endicott High School. She had the honor of being a member of the band and marched in the Orange Bowl and Rose Bowl parades. She attended SUNY Cortland, Texas State University, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.
Diane began her career working in the retail and corporate environment and had the opportunity to live 2 years in Japan while her father was with IBM in Tokyo. Her true passion was working as a dental assistant for Dr. Steven Lindley, Dr. Clayton Hamilton and Dr. Trevor Hamilton from April of 1999 until her retirement January 2025.
Diane enjoyed spending stress free time at the family cabin in Cloudcroft, New Mexico.
On a more personal note, she loved Pancakes, Hamburgers and Hot Dogs, especially if cooked on the grill. Her favorite color was purple, loved opals, playing word games on her phone with friends and watching Jeopardy every evening with her mom. She loved watching Downton Abbey, which explains her fascination with Colonial Williamsburg.
She never missed the opportunity to watch live feeds of the Djuma Game Reserve.
Diane began a long battle with cancer in 2016. She fought with diligence and grace like no other.
getting tired, a cure not meant to be,
so He wrapped His arms around her,
and whispered,
“Come with Me”
Diane gained her angel wings in the early morning hours of November 11, 2025.
Survived by her mother Dorothy, brother Mike and his wife Marjorie. Preceded in death by her father Eugene.
We, at Hamilton Dental, are more than co-workers. We are family. Diane is surely missed by all of us and feel her presence with us every day!
